Usually writers have a rhyme or reason they write what they write; not this week in our Trivia Blitz. Perhaps it is spring fever or the fact that the NFL Scouting Combine is almost upon us; whatever the case it has been tough to focus lately.

Most of this week’s questions came from family, friends and co workers; all worth being looked up and asked. Our staff has come up with some of the best and most random trivia that would make most Adam Sandler-movie soundtracks seem planned.

For those of you new to this article — cover32 comes up with five questions for Friday’s question portion. Monday, the answers are then revealed and published with some of the best answers and responses from readers.

Although we still have yet to receive five correct answers from readers, last week we had the most responses to date. This week’s questions may be so random, even the brightest of minds may be bent out of shape.

Question One

NFL running backs usually have a short life-expectancy; few make it five to six years as a starter. With that being said, one NFL running back has had 200 or more carries in each of the last ten seasons.

1. Which running back has 200 carries in each of the last ten NFL seasons?

Question Two

Being a heavy man myself, it always astonishes me when I see what some of these big NFL men do at the NFL Scouting Combine. Last year, Baylor tight end, LaQuan McGowan tipped the scale at 405 pounds yet ran a 40 in 5.41 seconds. My last 40-time was measured with a sundial but hey, good for McGowan right? Where was I? Oh yeah, McGowan still would not have been the heaviest player to set foot on the NFL field.

2. Which player is considered to be the heaviest player to ever play in a NFL game?

Question Three

Drew Brees threw for more than 1,000 yards by the end of his third game in 2016; however, the NFL was not always a pass-happy-league.

3. Who was the first quarterback to pass for 1,000 yards in a NFL season?

Question Four

After watching the horrendous extra-point kicking attempts last season, the record of 10 PAT’s attempted in one game may stand forever. The kicker that set the record is said to have woken up with a sore leg the other day; understandable for anyone who has tried to kick just one field goal without stretching

4. Which kicker holds the record for PAT’s attempted with 10 in one game?

Question Five

It has been said to me our “who am I” questions have been a little too vague and difficult; this week we will give readers a bit of an easy one to appease the masses.

5. “I still hold the NFL record for yards-per-game average in a season with 143.1. I ran with the ball 2,404 times in my NFL career; however it was my post career ‘run’ that I am sadly most famous for. Who am I?

Finish

This week may not be as easy as last week, yet the answers should be easy enough to find. If anyone has a problem with the questions, let me know as I have no problem telling my friends, family and co workers to do better next time.

If the article continues to garner views and responses, correct answers may soon be rewarded with gift cards or random items that low writers can afford to send off.

Good luck to all and be sure to check back on cover32, Yahoo Sports, Twitter and Facebook to find the answers on Monday. We encourage you to leave your answers in the comments section below. The greatest answers, good and bad, will be used in Monday’s follow-up piece.
