MATT HARMON: Washington Commanders at the second overall pick, Derrik. And we spent all that time talking about the Bears when we know what they're going to do. We know what's going to happen at the first overall pick. It's going to be Caleb Williams. I don't know about you, buddy, but I'm kind of ready to believe anything about Washington as long as that anything is they're taking a quarterback at the second overall pick.
DERRIK KLASSEN: The only thing I'm not going to believe, I think they're-- I don't think Drake Maye would be the pick. Obviously, there hasn't been that much smoke that they're going to take Drake Maye. I just-- it feels like we're out. It just feels like it's not happening, which is to me insane. Because I think Caleb and Drake are like 1A, 1B situation. I think they are both amazing, amazing prospects.
I don't know. I just can't really figure out exactly what Washington wants to do. I think you're right that it's obviously going to be a quarterback. I don't think they're going to trade down. There was a little bit of smoke that they might, but I don't think that's happening. It's going to be a quarterback.
If I were to rank the possibilities, it's probably Jayden, and then I guess I would still say Drake, and then JJ. JJ, I just-- there's no shot he goes two. I just-- that seems impossible to me.
MATT HARMON: Yeah, I have definitely been at this point. I was already-- I've said this on the last couple of shows. I was already like ready to take the peer pressure, ready to take that peer pressure on Drake Maye, ready to be completely Drake Maye pilled. Man, I don't get it either, bro. I don't get why he just wouldn't be the second overall pick here.
DERRIK KLASSEN: I think the accuracy, too, is-- it's not perfect. I think he sprays like two or three throws a game. But I think if you threw any of Jayden Daniels, JJ McCarthy, basically anybody but Caleb into this North Carolina offense, where the offensive line is disgusting and you have like a half of an NFL player that you're throwing to, you would probably spray more balls because it's just a tougher environment to consistently make those throws when people aren't open that much and you're constantly under pressure.
So I think that's the thing that people are just kind of missing. So I think people are just kind of like misunderstanding some of the bad plays that Drake had and not calculating for how bad the situation was relative to some of his peers in this class.
MATT HARMON: All I want in the world is just Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson to have Drake Maye. That's all I want.
