Cooper Kupp and the Los Angeles Rams agree on a huge contract extension
Days after reaching a new deal with superstar defensive lineman Aaron Donald, the Los Angeles Rams have taken care of another star player, reaching agreement with wide receiver Cooper Kupp. The three-year extension on his current contract keeps him in Los Angeles for the next five seasons, and is worth $110 million.

Cooper Kupp and the Rams reached agreement today on a three-year extension that ties him to LA for the next five years, at $110 million, and allows him to assume his rightful place amongst the NFL’s highest-paid WRs, per sources.

The deal also contains $75 million in guaranteed money for Kupp:

Kupp was drafted by the Rams in the third round of the 2017 NFL draft, and put together a career season a year ago with Los Angeles. Last season, Kupp set career-high marks in targets (191), receptions (145), receiving yards (1,947), touchdowns (16), yards per game (114.5) and first downs (89).
Kupp enjoyed a great post-season with the Rams, catching 33 passes for 478 yards and six touchdowns for Los Angeles during the playoffs. His late touchdown catch allowed the Rams to stave off a comeback effort from Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Kupp caught a pair of touchdowns in Super Bowl LVI, including this, the game-winner:
In the past two days, the Rams have locked up two cornerstone players, with a price tag of over $200 million. Still, given the results last season, you can understand why the organization made these two moves.
