Colts add running back depth behind Frank Gore

On June 1st, 2017, the Colts signed journeyman Christine Michael to the team. This continues the trend of adding competition and depth to the roster that Chris Ballard has implemented. The Colts released running back Brandon Radcliff after this signing.

Michael was drafted in the second round of the 2013 NFL draft by the Seattle Seahawks, playing mostly as a backup for Marshawn Lynch. He began the 2015 season on the Dallas Cowboys before returning to the Seahawks.

In 2016, he started seven games in Seattle before being waived and picked up by the Packers. Michael would experience the best season of his career, rushing for 583 yards and seven touchdowns.
