Dismantling a top-10 team in a blowout win catches the attention of voters.

The Colorado State men's basketball team jumped into the top-25 rankings this week following a 2-0 showing to win the Hall of Fame Classic in Kansas City.

The Rams are now No. 20 in the AP poll and No. 21 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

The highlight for CSU was a 21-point win over Creighton, ranked No. 7 in the USA Today Coaches poll and No. 8 in the AP poll at the time. Creighton fell to No. 14 in the Coaches poll this week and No. 15 in the AP poll.

Both CSU's Niko Medved and Creighton's Greg McDermott are voters in the Coaches poll.

CSU received one vote in last week's AP poll and none in the Coaches poll.

The Rams are 6-0 and ranked for the first time since jumping into the top-25 entering the NCAA Tournament in 2022. CSU was ranked in six different weeks that season, rising as high as No. 20 in the AP poll.

CSU's highest AP ranking ever is No. 18. The Rams host rival Colorado at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, at Moby Arena. On Sunday, CSU announced the game was already sold out.

The Buffs were No. 18 in the AP poll and No. 21 in the coaches poll last week before a loss to Florida State. CU dropped out of both polls.

CU and CSU have never played a men's basketball game with both teams ranked.
