Clowney officially signs, at practice Wednesday

The Cleveland Browns have made the signing of Jadeveon Clowney official. After a solid year with the team in 2021, Clowney returns to partner up with Myles Garrett once again to terrorize offenses.

The former top overall pick, the 6’5″ South Carolina native has a great combination of power, speed and length to push the pocket and hold the edge.

Last year, Clowney played in 14 games contributing nine sacks, 19 quarterback hits, 11 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and two passes defended.

Reportedly, playing with Deshaun Watson, and not Baker Mayfield, led Clowney to sign for less money and years with Cleveland. He does get a raise from last year with his new contract:

With the team’s OTAs starting yesterday, the team has confirmed that Clowney will be in attendance for practice today.

While the Browns still have unknowns swirling around possible discipline for Watson and Mayfield’s future, it is good for them to get their starting edge rusher locked up, officially, for another season.
