Clemson football drops out of AP Top 25, stays in coaches poll after Week 2 win

Clemson football blew out Charleston Southern in its home opener on Saturday. Despite a shaky start, including a fumble and an interception, the Tigers (1-1) recovered for a 66-17 win over the Buccaneers (1-1). Even with the win, Clemson dropped out of the AP Top 25 for the first time since Week 12 of the 2021 season.

Clemson got down by a touchdown in the first quarter after quarterback Cade Klubnik threw a pick-six, but the Tigers regained the lead in the second and scored 28 points in the third to pull away. Clemson amassed 679 yards of total offense while holding Charleston Southern to just 87.

The Tigers' 2023 season continues when they face Florida Atlantic (1-1) on Saturday (8 p.m. ET, ACCN) at Memorial Stadium.

Here's where the Tigers rank in national polls as Week 3 begins.
