The 2023 Elite Eight Cincinnati's Favorite Beer bracket.

We are one step closer to crowning Cincinnati's Favorite Beer for 2023! Only one No. 1 seed remains as Boston Lager (Sam Adams) and Garage Beer (Braxton) both fell to No. 4 seeds in the Sweet 16 round. The year of the No. 2 seed continues as they all remain in the running for the sudsy title.

Elite Eight matchups for Cincinnati's Favorite Beer 2023

South Yeast

No. 8 seed Third Eye P.A. (Third Eye) continues its historic run, taking down last year's runner-up, No. 4 seed Moozie (Brink). Third Eye already took down No. 1 seed Symphony Vienna Lager (Big Ash) in the first round and will look to keep the momentum going against bracket-regular No. 2 seed You Betcha! (Sonder) in the Elite Eight. You Betcha! squeaked out the Sweet 16 win over No. 6 seed Oktoberfest (West Side) by only 11 votes, our closest matchup of the year so far.

North Wheat

We have a champ-on-champ battle brewing, too, as 2021/2022 champ No. 1 seed Bohemian Special Brew (Wiedemann) takes on 2019 champ No. 2 seed Gavel Banger (Taft's). The Bohemian has been breezing through its first matchups, but Taft's brew will look to tap into its former glory to take down the bracket favorite.

South Wheat

No. 2 seed Dunkel (Hofbrauhaus) won the all-German battle against No. 3 seed Franz (Rhinegeist) and will take on the bracket-busting No. 4 seed Coast to Coast (Fifty West) in the next round. The Newport-made Dunkel is looking to return to the Final Four for the first time since 2019, the same year Coast to Coast lost in the first round as a No. 6 seed. Will the tides of fortune turn in 2023?

North Yeast

We have another No. 4 seed breaking brackets this year. No. 4 seed Helles Real (Grainworks) took down the crowd-pleasing No. 1 seed Boston Lager (Sam Adams), yet even more proof that in the CFB championship, David can rise above Goliath with the right amount of can-do spirit. The FC Cincinnati-themed Helles Real will take on No. 2 seed Vlad (Fretboard) for what will surely be a close matchup between these two breweries from up north.

What's next? Will the Cinderella stories continue? Well, that's entirely up to you.
