Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes to executive produce Netflix series ‘Receiver’

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Netflix announced a spinoff series to “Quarterback” that starred Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes last year.

The new documentary is called “Receiver,” and Mahomes is once again involved as an executive producer.

Have Chiefs, Royals made ‘threats’ to leave Kansas City, Missouri?

Five NFL wide receivers — Las Vegas Raiders WR Davontae Adams, Minnesota Vikings WR Justin Jefferson, San Fransico 49ers WR Deebo Samuel, Detroit Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown and 49ers tight end George Kittle — will star in eight, 45-minute episodes set to premiere this summer.

“It’s been said that there’s no more difficult position in the NFL than the quarterback. But throwing the pass is only half the story,” Netflix said in the announcement. “‘Receiver’ follows five of the NFL’s best pass catchers throughout the 2023 season on and off the field”

Mahomes’ production company 2PM Productions will join NFL Films and NFL legend Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions to create the newest sports series on Netflix.
