Here are the Chiefs’ 2022 NFL regular season statistical leaders on offense
The 2022 NFL regular season is officially in the books for the Kansas City Chiefs. They’ve turned their attention to the playoffs and await news of their opponent in the divisional round as they enjoy a first-round bye week. Before we shift our focus to the playoffs, here’s a quick recap of the statistical leaders on for the Chiefs to close out 2022’s regular-season campaign.
Passing attempts, yards, touchdowns: QB Patrick Mahomes

This could be another MVP season for Mahomes. He finished the year with 648 passing attempts, just 10 fewer than his all-time high set a season ago. His 5,250 passing yards are the most of a single season in his NFL career and rank the fourth-most in a single season in NFL history. His 41 touchdown passes lead the NFL this season and are the second-most in a single-season in his NFL career.
Rushing attempts, yards, touchdowns: RB Isiah Pacheco

Pacheco finishes his rookie campaign as one of the most productive seventh-round running backs in the history of the NFL. His 830 rushing yards are the most in the first year by a player drafted in Round 7 in the past 22 seasons. He finished the season with 170 attempts and five rushing touchdowns, which is one more than Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes. The run game still needs work, but the future is bright with Pacheco.
Receptions, receiving yards, touchdowns: TE Travis Kelce

Kelce had the trifecta for Kansas City as a receiver this season. He finished the season with 12 touchdowns, the most of a single season in his career. He set a new single-season career-high with 110 receptions, which is just one shy of Tyreek Hill’s 111 receptions last season. It’s also a new franchise record for most catches by a tight end in a single season, which he previously set in 2020 (105). Kelce finished the season with 1,338 receiving yards, which is the fourth-most all-time by a tight end in NFL history.
Yards per reception (min. 40 receptions): WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling

Known as a field stretcher and deep threat before arriving in Kansas City, Valdes-Scantling’s numbers this season were consistent with his career. He finished the season with a 16.4-yard-per-reception average with 47 receptions on the season.
Yards per carry (min. 40 attempts): QB Patrick Mahomes

Mahomes’ 358 rushing yards this season was the second-most in a single season of his career. His 5.9 yards per carry average on over 60 attempts was a full yard more than Isiah Pacheco’s 4.9 yards average on 170 carries.
Long rush: RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire

Edwards-Helaire remains on injured reserve, yet he finishes the season with the longest carry of the year. His 52-yard carry against the Chargers in Week 2 also is the longest carry of Edwards-Helaire’s career with the Chiefs.
Long reception: WR Justin Watson

Maybe Patrick Mahomes’ awe over Watson’s speed this offseason was warranted. Forrest Gump finished the season with the team’s longest reception of the year — a 67-yard reception in the opening quarter of the Week 18 game against the Raiders.
