Bears had a crazy week
This has been a very long week for the Bears and their fans.
First, Chicago found out they lost starting offensive tackle Braxton Jones for at least four games when they placed him on injured reserve and potentially for the entire season. This was followed by the resignation of Alan Williams as defensive cooridnator.
Justin Fields was soon back in the spotlight offering honesty and insight to his struggles but when the word "coaching" was used, chaos ensued before the Bears quarterback tried walking back those comments. To add salt to Chicago's wounds, stolen equipment reportedly including lawn mowers and Gator Utility Vehicles worth approximately $100,000 were driven off the property through a security fence.
More from Matt Eberflus: "I said, 'Hey all those rumors and stuff going on right now, that crazy stuff, none of that is true. Alan is resigning,' and I said, 'We'll be keeping all the same responsibilities on defense and I'll be calling the plays on game day. Any questions?'" https://t.co/DGuDrTx7XZ
