Chase Claypool says Steelers WR are stacked but would love Julio Jones

If there is one positional unit on the Pittsburgh Steelers we aren’t worried about it’s the wide receivers. But according to Chase Claypool, despite the group being “stacked” he’d love to have them add Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones according to TMZ.

I get that in the context of a forced interview while Claypool was just trying to get into his car but does he really want Jones on the roster? Truth be told, Pittsburgh doesn’t have a WR1 on the roster at all.

Claypool has the most potential to be the top guy but the truth is Claypool, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Diontae Johnson are all more of WR2 types who fill very specific roles on the offense.

The Steelers would never make a trade for Jones and it would be better if one of these guys would step up and take a leadership role on the depth chart. Unfortunately, all three of these guys have chosen to train on their own so far this offseason.

Fans love to connect every potential star to the team but I would hope no one really thinks Jones is realistic for Pittsburgh.
