Celtics missing three players against the Portland Trail Blazers

The Boston Celtics will be without Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday when they face the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday (March. 11.) Porzingis has consistently sat out the first night of back-to-backs, and looks set to continue that trend. Holiday is dealing with left knee tendinopathy and has been ruled out by the medical staff.

Svi Mykhailiuk is also out due to personal reasons. Heading into the day, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Derrick White were all listed as questionable. That trio has all been cleared to participate in the contest are expected to suit up once the two teams prepare to face off. Portland will be missing Malcolm Brogdon and Robert Williams.

Both former Celtics are dealing with injuries and will be unavailable for selection. However, Dalano Banton, who was traded by the Celtics at the February 8 deadline, will be part of the Trail Blazers rotation.

The Celtics defeated the Phoenix Suns on Saturday (March 9) and will likely be looking to add to that victory as they bid to keep their distance at the top of the Eastern Conference.
