Celtics injury update: Jayson Tatum, Al Horford, Luke Kornet OUT vs. Kings; Kristaps Porzingis available

The Boston Celtics will have to dig deeper than usual into their rotation to bounce back from their road loss to the Golden State Warriors with a win over the Sacramento Kings Wednesday night, with the team sharing a number of key players will be out for the back-to-back tilt.

Per the team, star forward Jayson Tatum will miss the contest with a sprained ankle he hurt early in the Warriors loss, with veteran big man Al Horford also having the night off due to scheduled rest, and, making Boston’s frontcourt especially thin, backup center Luke Kornet will also miss the contest with a strained adductor.

The most recent injury report released by the Celtics is not all bad news, however.

Starting center Kristaps Porzingis, who has been on and off the injury report in recent weeks for a calf sprain sustained earlier in the season vs. the Orlando Magic.
