Carlsbad Current-Argus Week 1 Prep Basketball Hero Poll
Every week during the high school basketball season, the Current-Argus asks readers to vote on the Prep Hero Basketball Poll.
Readers can vote at www.currentargus.com. The poll closes at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday; the winner will be announced online Thursday.
This week’s nominees:
Jarren Wadkins Artesia guard: He scored in double figures during last week’s Hobbs Holiday Classic. Wadkins had 13 points in the opening game against Rio Rancho Cleveland.
On the second day of the tournament, he scored 11 points against Hirschi High School from Wichita Falls, Texas.
Diego Wesson Artesia guard: He was the Bulldogs’ leading scorer against Ferris, Texas on the final day of the Hobbs Holiday Classic with 12 points.
