FINAL SCORE: Jimmy Garoppolo throws 4 TDS passes in 38-10 49ers win

The Arizona Cardinals could not get their second consecutive win. They were defeated 38-10 by the San Francisco 49ers Monday night in Mexico City. They fall to 4-7 on the season and 1-4 in the division.

Quarterback Colt McCoy, starting in place of an injured Kyler Murray, had 218 yards and an interception. He was sacked three times.

The 49ers got four touchdown passes from Jimmy Garoppolo, two to Brandon Aiyuk and two to George Kittle, and they rushed for 159 yards as a team.

Cardinals 3, 49ers 0

The Cardinals get on the board first on their second drive of the game, going 58 yards in 11 plays. They stall and get a 40-yard field goal from Matt Prater.

It comes after both teams open the game with three-and-outs.

Rondale Moore hurt

Moore had a run for a six-yard loss to open the game and has since exited the game. He has a groin injury and is questionable to return.

Cardinals alternating left guards

As the Cardinals did last week against the Rams, they are alternating left guards. Rashaad Coward started the game and Cody Ford replaced him for their second possession when they got the field goal.

Coward came back for their third possession.

49ers 7, Cardinals 3

The 49ers take the lead in the second quarter. They go 82 yards on nine plays and Jimmy Garoppolo throws a seven-yard strike to Brandon Aiyuk for a touchdown.

Colt McCoy picked off

The first turnover of the game is in the second quarter. Colt McCoy throws the ball to James Conner and the ball bounces off his hand. 49ers defensive back Jimmies snags it before it touches the ground.

The 49ers take over at the Arizona 46.

The turnover comes two plays after DeAndre Hopkins picks up a first down but then is penalized for taunting, moving the ball back 15 yards.

49ers 14, Cardinals 3

The 49ers turn the turnover into points. Three plays after the interception, on third down, Garoppolo finds tight end George Kittle behind the defense for a 39-yard touchdown pass.

Dortch big play!

Greg Dortch, playing for Rondale Moore, who exited the game with a groin injury, gives the Cardinals their first explosive play down the field. His catch becomes a 47-yard pass play,

49ers 14, Cardinals 10

The Dortch big play leads to this two-yard touchdown run by James Conner.

It is set up by another catch by Dortch to give the Cardinals first and goal.

49ers 17, Cardinals 10

With 43 seconds left in the half, the 49ers tack on a 39-yard field goal.

49ers 24, Cardinals 10

The 49ers open the second half focusing on the run. They run the ball seven times in their eight-play drive and Deebo Samuel breaks free for a 39-yard run for a touchdown to give the Niners a two-touchdown lead. The drive takes nearly four and a half minutes.

49ers 31, Cardinals 10

Jimmy Garoppolo throws his third touchdown pass of the game. For the second time, it is to Brandon Aiyuk, this time a 13-yard throw.

The drive starts in Arizona territory and the Niners are up to 131 rushing yards.

49ers 38, Cardinals 10

The rout is on. Jimmy Garoppolo throws his fourth touchdown pass of the night and second to George Kittle. It goes for 32 yards. This game is gross and there are still 10 minutes left.

Cardinals conceding - Trace McSorley in at QB

After the 49ers score again, the Cardinals appear to have conceded this game. Trace McSorley replaces Colt McCoy at quarterback and the Cardinals immediately go three-and-out.

And now the 49ers put in backups

Brock Purdy is now in at quarterback for the 49ers to finish the last half of the fourth quarter. His first drive is a three-and-out as well.

McSorley picked off

McSorley’s second drive looks better but ends worse. Greg Dortch goes over 100 yards for the first time in his career but an end zone throw is intercepted and the 49ers can all but run out the clock.
