The first pick is Thomas.

Chandler Jones is still one of the NFL’s best pass rushers, but the Cardinals need a better bookend to pair with him. The Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year, Thomas is an athletic, physical defender who excels as both a pass rusher and a run-stopper.

He is big at 6-5 and 270 lbs. He had 10.5 sacks and 20.5 tackles for loss in 2021.

Round 2: Washington OL Jaxson Kirkland

Jennifer Buchanan-USA TODAY Sports

The Cardinals need offensive line help. Kirkland is long at 6-7 and 310 lbs and can play both tackle and guard.

Round 3: Iowa State TE Charlie Kolar

Kolar is 6-6 and 270 lbs. In 2021, he caught 62 passes for 756 yards and six touchdowns.
