Cardinals have ‘excellent’ meeting with TCU LB Dee Winters at Senior Bowl

The Senior Bowl was earlier this month and pretty much every player there met with every NFL team in some capacity, whether it was formally or informally.

This year’s NFL draft will be interesting for the Arizona Cardinals because it will be the first in more than a decade not led by Steve Keim.

Now they have general manager Monti Ossenfort and assistant general manager Dave Sears putting together the draft plan.

One player the Cardinals met with at the Senior Bowl is TCU linebacker Dee Winters. According to The Draft Network’s Justin Melo, Winters had “excellent meetings” with several teams, including the Cardinals.

Winters is a former safety who transitioned to linebacker. He is 6-foot-1 and 230 pounds.

In 2022, Winters had 75 tackles, 7.5 sacks, 17.5 tackles for loss and an interception returned for a touchdown for the TCU team that went to the national championship game.

He is viewed as a possible Day 2 pick in the draft.
