Cardinals elevate DL Eric Banks, RB Corey Clement for game vs. 49ers

The Arizona Cardinals have made a pair of roster moves for their game on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers. It would appear they will be without backup running back Keaontay Ingram, officially questionable to play with a neck injury he sustained in practice this week.

The team announced it elevated defensive lineman Eric Banks and running back Corey Clement from the practice squad.

It is the second time this season Banks has been elevated to the active roster. He played in Week 2 and had one tackle in 15 defensive snaps.

With starting defensive lineman Jonathan Ledbetter ruled out with a finger injury, Banks will be one of five defensive linemen active on Sunday.

Kevin Strong and Leki Fotu will start. Either rookie Dante Stills or newly acquired Roy Lopez will also start with the other playing in a rotation with Banks.

Clement will fill in for Ingram. It is the first time he will be active this season. He will either just slide into Ingram’s role as a backup to spell James Conner or will move into undrafted rookie Emaro Demercado’s role as the team’s running back in clear passing downs, with Demercado moving into Ingram’s role.

The Cardinals and 49ers kick off Sunday at 1:25 p.m. Arizona time.
