Can't Tripp up this back: High School Football Player of the Week for Week 10?

TAUNTON — Another week of high school football has come and gone in the Greater Taunton area.

Last week, Taunton (6-4, 2-2 Hockomock Kelley-Rex) earned a 13-12 comeback win over Brockton while Bridgewater-Raynham (3-7, 1-1 Southeast Conference) looked solid in a 22-8 win over Whitman-Hanson. Bristol-Plymouth (3-7, 0-3 Mayflower Large) put up 15 unanswered points before ultimately falling 26-15 to Medway while Dighton-Rehoboth (2-7, 0-4 South Coast Blue) fell to Medfield by less than a touchdown.

All football teams have the next week off from games, with all four Greater Taunton area teams just having their Thanksgiving showdowns awaiting them to finish off the fall season.

The Taunton Daily Gazette Football Player of the Week for Week 9 is Bridgewater-Raynham's Jace Pinardi, receiving 64% of the vote. Fellow Trojan Caleb Tripp finished second with 13% and Bristol-Plymouth's Jordan Finni received 12% to finish third.

Here are the nominees for Week 10:

Carlos Cruz, Taunton

Cruz caught a 6-yard touchdown catch against New Bedford.

Joel DaSilva, Dighton-Rehoboth

DaSilva went 11-of-17 passing for 109 yards and an interception against Medfield.

Ryan Donovan, Bristol-Plymouth

Donovan ran in a pair of rushing touchdowns and a 2-point conversion against Medway.

Kevin Gousie Jr., Dighton-Rehoboth

Gousie had seven carries for 40 yards and a pair of touchdowns against Medfield.

Ethan Harris, Taunton

Harris ran in a 2-yard touchdown against Brockton.

David Hunt, Dighton-Rehoboth

Hunt had 10 tackles against Medfield.

Dylan Keenan, Taunton

Keenan threw a receiving touchdown against Brockton.

Owen King, Bridgewater-Raynham

King threw a touchdown pass against Whitman-Hanson.

Cam Newman, Dighton-Rehoboth

Newman had 12 tackles against Medfield.

Jace Pinardi, Bridgewater-Raynham

Pinardi had a touchdown against Whitman-Hanson.

Will Porter, Bridgewater-Raynham

Porter hauled in a receiving touchdown against Whitman-Hanson.

Caleb Tripp, Bridgewater-Raynham

Tripp ran for 171 yards and a touchdown against Whitman-Hanson.
