Cam Taylor-Britt, Bengals rookie defensive back, has surgery for core injury

Bengals rookie defensive back Cam Taylor-Britt has surgery to repair a core injury he suffered, head coach Zac Taylor confirmed to reporters Friday.

Taylor-Britt is expected to miss at least the rest of training camp/preseason. He did not play in the Bengals' preseason opener against the Arizona Cardinals at Paycor Stadium.

Earlier, The Enquirer's Charlie Goldsmith noted via Twitter that Taylor-Britt missed practice on the Wednesday before the preseason opener.

The Bengals traded up to select the cornerback from Nebraska in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
