Caitlin Clark's game is often compared to Steph Curry's. He says, 'Caitlin is special.'
Iowa star guard (and potential Indiana Fever No. 1 draftee) Caitlin Clark has long drawn a comparison to one player: Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry.
The two are similar in the sense they’re both seasoned 3-point shooters. Curry has shot 42.7% over the course of his NBA career with the Warriors, while Clark is a career 38.1% beyond the arc in her four years with Iowa.
In some ways, Clark has modeled her game after Curry — they both have unfathomable range on the court, leading to logo 3-pointers and a freedom to shoot whenever they choose.

Although Curry is a 15-year NBA veteran, he still appreciates the best player in college basketball taking inspiration from his game.
“You can pick anybody that she talks about in terms of being an inspiration, if she picks something from our game, or models something from our game, I don’t ever take that for granted,” Curry said in an NBA All-Star media availability on Tuesday night.
Now, Clark set history.
She broke Kelsey Plum’s NCAA Division I women’s basketball scoring record of 3,527 points on Thursday night, scoring 49 points against Michigan. Plum, who now plays for the Las Vegas Aces, set that record in 139 games at Washington between 2013-17. It took Clark 126 games.

“Caitlin is special,” Curry said. “Her story, journey, the record speaks for itself and it’s cool … it’s just dope from a scoring perspective, from a shooting perspective, just a hooper that’s doing what she’s doing."
