Busy event season at SPIRE Academy
Mar. 16—HARPERSFIELD — A wide variety of sporting events highlight the winter months at SPIRE Academy.
The Big Ten Indoor Track and Field Championships, the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships, the Ohio Association of Cross Country and Track Association State Indoor Championships and many other smaller events have been hosted by SPIRE.
The NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships spent the week and the world class pool with many local volunteers assisting in the administration of the meet.
Area athletes competed in the state indoor track meet and area swimmers spent the last several months at the SPIRE pool training and competing.
SPIRE will be winding down its school year, but many athletes will continue training for a variety of events, including the Olympic Trials.
