Jaguars vs. Bills predictions: Do any NFL experts think Jags can win London game?

For the first time, the Jacksonville Jaguars are playing back-to-back games in London. This week's opponent is coming off one of the most impressive wins of the season.

The Jaguars (2-2) will be the road team when the Buffalo Bills (3-1) come to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday. But Doug Pederson's team has to be feeling comfortable about playing in England after last week's 23-7 win over the Atlanta Falcons at Wembley (and sorry, no "Toy Story" version this time). The Jags defense was the star of the game, but the offense continued to struggle despite a first-quarter touchdown from Trevor Lawrence to Calvin Ridley. Travis Etienne rushed for just 55 yards on 20 carries, a struggle the Jaguars might have to deal with again against Buffalo's stout defense.

The Bills are riding high off last week's 48-20 statement win over the Miami Dolphins, who had scored 70 points the week prior. Josh Allen looked like an MVP candidate in throwing four TD passes — three to Stefon Diggs — and running for another. However, the last time he played the Jaguars, the Bills quarterback wasn't even the best Josh Allen on the field. Jacksonville's defensive leader of the same name logged an interception and one of four sacks in the Jags' 9-6 win in 2021.

Will the Jaguars sweep their London series, or will the Bills assert themselves atop the AFC? Here's a look at what NFL experts and analysts predict:

Lorenzo Reyes, USA TODAY: Bills 30-23

"When Josh Allen doesn’t need to play hero ball and can operate out of the pocket, picking and choosing his spots to run, the Bills might be the best team in the AFC. Jacksonville will have the advantage of being in London for a week before facing Buffalo. The Jags have a nice roster. The issue is that they’ve been inconsistent with slow starts in some games and you cannot afford that against Buffalo."

Sal Maiorana, Rochester Democrat & Chronicle: Bills 31-20

"It’s entirely possible that from a body clock standpoint, the Jaguars might have a slight advantage over the Bills, who just arrived in London Friday morning. But unlike me, who cannot sleep on a plane and did not on my overnight trip here, I’ll assume the Bills’ chartered plane was a little more conducive to rest and that they got some."

Bill Bender, Sporting News: Bills 31-26

"Buffalo has won its last three games by an average of 30 points per game since the Week 1 loss at New York. Now, they travel to London, where the Jaguars are playing their second straight game. Jacksonville is 9-6 ATS as an underdog under Doug Pederson. How will the Jaguars respond to back-to-back games in London?"

Brent Sobleski, Bleacher Report: Jags win

"The Bills should be heavily favored over the Jaguars after their performance against the Miami Dolphins," wrote Sobleski, the only one of seven experts making picks for Bleacher Report. "As a straight-up pick, Buffalo is an easy choice. However, Jacksonville holds a significant advantage this week to keep the contest close.

"The Jaguars played in London this past weekend as part of this season's first international game. With back-to-back games in Merry Old England, the team chose to stay and practice overseas all week. The Jags already adjusted to the time difference with no extra travel. The Bills don't have the same luxury."

Brooke Cersosimo, NFL.com: Bills 26-21

"The Bills' defense has been lights out the last few weeks, holding the explosive Dolphins to their lowest point total of the season. While the loss of Tre’Davious White is a concern, Buffalo still has enough playmakers on that side of the ball to prevent Trevor Lawrence and Co. from going toe to toe with its own Josh Allen-led unit, which has averaged 38.7 points per game since Week 2. You could make the argument that the Bills are the best team in the NFL heading into Week 5, but the thing that makes this a closer game than one might think is the neutral location and the fact that Jacksonville has been in London for an extra week."

Here's our Jags vs. Bills prediction: Times-Union staff picks for London game

Vinnie Iyer, Sporting News: Jags 26-24

"Josh Allen is red-hot defensively for the Jaguars coming off a three-sack game against the Falcons. Josh Allen is red-hot offensively for the Bills, coming off a perfect passer rating with five total scores against the Dolphins. The Jaguars' Josh owned the Bills' Josh in a shocking upset two seasons ago. Jacksonville's game in this rematch, too, after winning in London last week and staying there. Trevor Lawrence will grind through vs. the Bills' defense to make big plays and get his team in position to win late."

Pete Prisco, CBS Sports: Bills 30-20

"This is Buffalo's home game, but the Jaguars will have been in London for over a week by the time this kicks off. That's an edge. Buffalo was dominant last week against Miami, and Josh Allen is playing at a high level. The Jaguars looked better last week, but they won't be able to slow Allen. It will be high scoring. Bills win it."
