Bucs OT Donovan Smith (elbow) won’t play vs. Saints

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be without starting left tackle Donovan Smith for Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints, head coach Todd Bowles confirmed to NFL Network’s Sara Walsh Sunday morning.

Smith was listed as doubtful on the team’s final injury report Friday due to an elbow injury suffered in the first half of Tampa Bay’s 19-3 victory over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1, and didn’t practice all week.

Josh Wells is expected to start in Smith’s place.

This will be just the third career missed start for Smith, who took the starting job in Week 1 of his rookie season in 2015, and has made 112 starts since.
