Browns CB Martin Emerson Jr. gets his second interception of the day vs. Jaguars

The strong day continues for Martin Emerson Jr. as he picks off Trevor Lawrence of the day to end the scoring threat for the Cleveland Browns. The Jacksonville Jaguars were in field goal range and had a chance to score and get the ball after the half and Emerson shut it down with another good interception.

Emerson’s play today is another reason Cleveland feels okay with letting Denzel Ward sit an extra week to get fully healthy for the playoff push. The Browns’ defense has been great today so far the only points they have allowed came after a Cleveland turnover and a short field.

Cleveland has needed this performance as the offense is still figuring things out with their fourth quarterback of the year in Joe Flacco. If the defense can continue to play at this level, the Browns will get their eighth win of the year and take control of the wild card race for the playoffs.
