Bronny James stable following cardiac arrest

Bronny James is reportedly in stable condition following a reported cardiac arrest on Monday, July 24. The incident occurred during a team workout at USC, with a 911 call reportedly being made regarding Bronny in the early morning.

On Tuesday, July 25, The Athletic’s Shams Charania released a statement that had been shared with him that addressed Bronny’s condition while asking for privacy and respect for the family. The statement noted Bronny was no longer in the intensive care unit, which is an encouraging sign for the 18-year-old and the James family.

“We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information,” The statement Charania shared said. “LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes.”

Bronny recently joined USC after spending the last few years with Sierra Canyon High School. He became one of the top recruits in his class before opting to join a university close to home.
