Broncos injuries: P.J. Locke, Baron Browning return to practice

The Denver Broncos got good news on the injury front at Wednesday’s practice.

The Broncos started the return windows for outside linebacker Baron Browning and safety P.J. Locke (leg) from the reserve/physically unable to perform list and injured reserve, respectively.

Browning, who underwent knee surgery in the spring, was ineligible to play the first four weeks of the season while on the reserve/PUP list. Locke was in the same scenario while on IR.

Now back at practice, Browning and Locke are eligible to be activated and play, but there’s no guarantee they will suit up against the New York Jets this weekend.

Elsewhere on the injury front, offensive tackle Alex Palczewski (hand) and cornerback K’Waun Williams (ankle) are also eligible to return to practice this week, but neither was spotted at practice Wednesday.

Denver did have safety Justin Simmons, outside linebacker Frank Clark, inside linebacker Josey Jewell and nose tackle Mike Purcell back on the field Wednesday. Broncos running back Javonte Williams (quad) was held out.
