Brian Moore's Full Contact: 'Eddie Jones carrying on suggests England will make an internal appointment'

Brian Moore is joined in the studio this week by Telegraph rugby writer, Ben Coles, to discuss the exhilarating weekend of European Cup action.

Brian and Ben speak with Munster and Ireland back rower Alan Quinlan on Ireland's Europe and  Six Nations chances. EPCR's Chairman, Simon Halliday, gives his take on the weekend and what they're doing to improve the tournaments. Plus Wasps Ladies Club Captain, Kate Alder, joins after her team ended Saracens unbeaten run.

And regular guest Nigel Owens is back to answer your questions on rugby’s laws and says you're allowed to ruck (so long as it's legal)!

Here are some of the highlights

Leinster look a very complete side much in the same way that Saracens have the last two years.

Racing’s stadium looks like a nightclub, I desperately want to go!

The quarter finals are mouthwatering.

The decision for Eddie Jones to carry on says to me that there’s going to be an internal appointment.

I’m firmly of the opinion now, that you must have someone in the coaching line up with Southern Hemisphere experience

Scotland aren’t at the point where they can be a side that underperforms and still win.

Brian Moore

Stuart Lancaster has so much respect and has done so much for Leinster.

It’s not Joe Schmidt like to propel a player so quickly but Larmour is fantastic. He reminds me of Jason Robinson.

Alan Quinlan

It’s early days to say that the English clubs are fading in Europe - and let’s not forget that we were saying the Irish teams were on the wane. It’s more of a one-off I feel, and heavily related to the Lions.

I cannot wait for the Scarlets quarter-final against La Rochelle - Scarlets have backed up the fact that they’re the Pro14 Champions.

Leinster are pound-for-pound the best team in Europe.

I’ve no idea what to expect with France ...

Ben Coles

I couldn’t in my wildest dreams have imagined the teams being placed where they were going into the end it was the perfect end to the pool stages.

Saracens were very lucky to go through ...

Simon Halliday

The introduction of the Tyrell’s Premier 15s has just seen the standard rise for England,

Kate Alder
