Boys soccer, girls tennis, and girls volleyball were on the docket on Friday.

BOYS SOCCER

Division I

North Kingstown 5, Moses Brown 2

The Skippers improved their hold on first place in D-I with a victory over the Quakers. Goal scorers for NK were Noah Korzeniowski, with two tallies, and Jake Pezza, Joshua Chen and Daniel Blanco. Finding the back for the net for MB were Lincoln Knapp and Dimitris Koumas.

Division II

Westerly 3, Smithfield 1

Gio Santos netted a pair of goals and Robbie Wade also scored as the Bulldogs, now 4-5-0, jumped out to a three-goal lead in the first half, then held off the Sentinels, now 2-2-3, for the victory.

GIRLS TENNIS

Division II

Westerly 7, St. Raphael 0

Virginia Royce, Mallorey Clark, Erica Nyberg and Maggie Scanapieco each won their singles matches and led the Bulldogs to their fifth victory in seven matches. The Saints fall to 2-7-0.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Division I

La Salle 3, East Greenwich 0

Mary Naff had 7 kills and 7 aces, Kaelyn Whitaker was good for 9 kills and Abby Crowley dished for 25 assists as the Rams took down East Greenwich. For the Avengers, Amanda Duke recorded 17 kills and Hannah Gaffney posted 10 digs.

North Kingstown 3, Chariho 0 (25-20, 25-12, 25-18)

Kayleigh Garrepy (7 kills, 4 blocks), Annie Draper (12 kills, 1 block, 3 digs) and Ava Sardelli (6 kills, 2 blocks, 9 digs) combined to lift the Skippers to a sweep of the Chargers. The A-Division-leading Skippers improve to 8-1-0, while Chariho slips to 7-2-0 in I-B.

West Warwick 3, Cranston 1 (25-22, 25-22, 16-25, 25-16)

In a D-1 crossover between two winless teams this season, Shanna Correia recorded 7 kills and 5 aces, Gabby Milani had 8 kills and 9 digs and Olivia Zajdek posted 22 digs, helping West Warwick get in the win column. For CE, Brynn Murphy had 9 kills and three aces, Jessica Tran registered 18 digs and 3 aces and Angellina Saing was good for 11 assists and 10 digs in the loss.

Division III

Block Island 3, Central 2 (23-25, 25-22, 24-26, 26-24, 15-11)

In a closely contested battle, Block Island got solid outings from Emily Helterline (11 kills, 4 aces, 3 blocks and 2 digs), Bailey Payne (10 kills, 8 digs) and Cora Ryan (24 assists and 4 digs) to slip past Central in a D-III crossover. Keeping the match close for the Knights were Danna Garcia, with 14 kills and 2 aces, Janet Batista, who recorded 19 assists, a block and an ace and Kathie Saykouman with 5 kills and and an ace.

Tiverton 3, Burrillville 1 (25-20, 14-25, 25-15, 25-17)

Hayleigh Korzeniowski led the way with 8 aces, 6 kills and 7 digs, Julia Polofsky contributed with 6 aces, 7 kills and 7 digs and Claudia Lapointe chipped in with 4 aces, 9 kills and 10 digs as the Tigers surprised a stubborn Broncos team and improved to 5-4-0. Burrillville, which slips to 6-3-0, was led by Kendra Pimental, who had 11 aces, Emilia Ferrero, who had 8 kills and Mackenzie Cleary, who had 9 kills and 3 blocks.
