Wednesday's result

PLEASANT PLAINS 54, PITTSFIELD 41: Cooper Schallenberg drained six 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 28 points in the win for the Cardinals.

Plains forged a 41-29 lead by the end of the third quarter. Liam Hatfield had 11 points.

Javan Petty led Pittsfield with 14 points.

Tuesday's results

ROCHESTER 65, NEWTON 44: At the Rochester Athletic Complex, Henry Buecker poured in a game-high 25 points and the Rockets won a nonconference game.

Buecker scored 11 points in the first period and had 15 at intermission as Rochester (7-9) built a 33-19 lead. Kai Bruce made four of the Rockets’ five 3-pointers and finished with 13 points. Canon Bruce had a 3-pointer and added nine points.

Caden Nichols provided Newton with a team-high 16 points.

JACKSONVILLE ROUTT 67, TRI-CITY/SANGAMON VALLEY 30: At Buffalo, Routt rolled up 44 first-half points to build a 34-point lead en route to a nonconference win.

Bryson Mossman led four Routt players in double figures with a game-high 19 points. He finished with four 3-pointers. Isaac Long scored 11 points in the second quarter and ended with 15. Nolan Turner tallied 14 and Brady Turner contributed 11 points for the Rockets (9-5).

Donavyn Riley had 10 second-half points to pace Tri-City (0-14).

LITCHFIELD 83, MOUNT OLIVE 12: At Mount Olive, Litchfield got out to a 37-point halftime lead and cruised to a nonconference victory.

Harrison Thomas led a balanced Litchfield attack with 13 points. AJ Odle and Nathan Schaake both scored 12 and Brayden Ronco added an additional nine points in the win.

FARMINGTON 48, HAVANA 45: At Havana, Farmington outscored the Ducks 19-15 in the fourth period to post a Prairieland Conference win.

Keauntrey Barnes had seven of his 18 points in the fourth quarter for Farmington (7-6 overall, 3-0 in the Prairieland), while teammate Jack Gronewold netted six of his 16 in the stanza.

Hunter Nichols had a team-high 14 points, including seven in the fourth for Havana (2-13, 0-3). Jaron Boggs was next with 10.

HARDIN CALHOUN 66, GILLESPIE 46: A 23-point first quarter propelled Calhoun to a commanding nonconference victory.

The Warriors went into halftime with a 40-25 lead. Jack Kaylor provided Gillespie with a game-high 17 points, and teammate Bryce Buhs followed with 11.

Eight Hardin Calhoun players finished with five or more points with Drew Wallendorf scoring a team-high 12.

MATTOON 62, PANA 45: At Mattoon, the Green Wave buried five 3-pointers in the second half and pulled away for a nonconference win.

Mattoon held a 24-20 advantage at the break. Bryce Jean paced four Mattoon players in double figures with 16 points.

Clayton Worker provided Pana with 13 points and Cash Lynch chipped in 10.
