Boys and girls basketball ruled the night on Monday

BOYS BASKETBALL

Division II

South Kingstown 62, Pilgrim 48

Three South Kingstown players reached double digits in scoring, including Derek Moffat, who had a game-high 16 points, as the Rebels pushed past the Patriots. Jonah Monnes scored a dozen and Ian McIntyre added 11 in the win. Carter Clifton topped the Patriots with 15 points.

Division III

North Smithfield 65, Ponaganset 35

Al Viera-Dones and Anthony Paiva each scored 13 points, Connor Reilly added 11 and Aiden Bienvenue had 10 as the Northmen rolled over the Chieftains. Antonio Rambone led Ponaganset with 9 points.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Division II

East Greenwich 51, Rocky Hill 48

The play of Brooke Fairbanks and Catherine Neville helped the Avengers squeeze past Rocky Hill. Fairbanks scored 17 points and Neville found the range for 13. The win spoiled a solid effort by Rocky Hill's Addison Mahar, who scored a game-high 19 points with 3 treys.

Mt. Hope 38, Rogers 22

Emily Moran was solid in all phases of the game (14 points, 9 blocks and 7 rebounds) as the Huskies easily got by the Vikings. Elisa White and Lilly DaSilveira contributed to the win with 9 and 8 points, respectively.

Division IV

Davies 52, Johnston 47

Naydelin Ruiz led the way with 12 points, all coming from 3-point distance, and Jayla DePina and Maddison Belanger each scored 10 points as the Patriots twice rallied from eight points down to pull out the victory.  Bella Gesualdi had a game-high 13 points and Ava Waterman was right behind with 11 for the Panthers.
