Boston Bruins Alumni playing in Exeter to benefit Seacoast Spartans charity

EXETER — The Boston Bruins Alumni Association, in conjunction with the Spartans4Life Foundation, will host a charity game this Sunday, March 15, at The Rinks at Exeter at 40 Industrial Ave.

A star-studded line-up of former Boston Bruins players, headlined by Tuukka Rask, will take on a touring team of Swedish hockey veterans, Sweden 360 National Stars. Puck drop is set for 2 p.m.

The Spartans4Life Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that aims to give less fortunate athletes the opportunities to help reach their individual potential and lifelong passion for sports. Proceeds from the ticket sales will go directly towards the organization.

Tickets can be purchased here. Free admittance for youth players in jerseys. Players will be available to sign autographs before and after the game.

Travis Bezio, owner of The Rinks at Exeter, said the charity game promises a thrilling afternoon for hockey fans of all ages. He encourages the community to come out, enjoy some exciting competition and support a great cause.

Darren Winham, the town’s economic development director, said The Rinks at Exeter “continue to be a unique economic driver for our community.”

“Year after year, Travis (Bezio) and (Chet Murch, the Rinks’ general manager) keep building their brand and adding new components to the operation and Exeter certainly appreciates it,” added Winham.

The Boston Bruins Alumni Association will also be in the area for another game next Saturday, March 16. This time, it will be at the Dover Ice Arena at 110 Portland Ave., Dover. The game will benefit My Breast Cancer Support, an organization that helps men and women with financial and emotional support while facing breast cancer.
