Hockey rink mysteriously spray-painted on Texas high school parking lot (Video)
Sometimes when you’re having a tough time finding a place to play a little street hockey you have to take matters into your own hands. That’s what happened in Katy, Texas when a high school parking lot mysteriously turned into one giant hockey rink thanks to some spray paint.
As you can see, the quality of the work is exceptional. As KPRC noted, “The design, so intricate, it's almost hard to believe it's vandalism…” Exactly. It’s not vandalism. It’s a work of art. Whoever is responsible loves hockey and is a talented artist, taking a canvas — in this case, a parking lot — and turning it into something beautiful.
And besides, school doesn’t start at Seven Lakes High School until Aug. 25. That’s over two weeks for the school board to take advantage of this and turn it from a negative into a positive.
Why not use the artwork and host a street hockey tournament to raise money for a local charity? Yeah, sure, it’s going to cost a good amount to remove the paint at some point, but why waste a great opportunity when it’s right in front of you?
While school authorities figure that out, maybe someone can find out if Banksy has relocated to southeastern Texas.
