Frederik Andersen tributes Teemu in new mask
So the Ducks will give us a wonderful celebration and jersey retirement Sunday for Teemu Selanne.
Call it 'Teemu the Weekend' or 'Teemu the Jersey Retirement.' There will also be a 'Teemu the Movie' screening. It will basically be 'Teemu the Planet' in Anaheim for a few days. For those who love Teemu, (if you don't, there is something seriously wrong with you in my opinion) it will be nirvana.
Apparently Teemu is also pumped tweets a member of the team's PR staff:
Just passed Teemu in the hallway. "Adam! The legend!" he said. My life is pretty much all downhill from here. #For8verTeemu

While details of Teemupalooza are being closely guarded, some images/plans are being sort of leaked. Thursday afternoon, Ducks goaltender Frederik Andersen tweeted his amazing looking Teemu-themed mask, to be worn especially for Sunday against Winnipeg. It is above.
Behold Teemu viewing the mask:
An entire mask dedicated to Teemu ... if Andersen pitches a 60-save shutout against the Jets, and then a 50-save shutout against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday, hopefully sacred hockey superstition will force him to wear Teemu on his head for the rest of the year.
It's unlikely of course, but this is to Teemu-rific on so many levels. Makes you wonder what other tremendous Teemu-related surprises we are going to see at the Honda Center. It should be glorious. #teemuforever.
