Pat Dye wouldn’t trade Gene Chizik “for 10 Sabans”

Although Gene Chizik is off to a tough 1-3 start this season, count Auburn legend Pat Dye among the coach's supporters.

Dye gave a thumbs up for the coach to the Montgomery Touchdown Club, then threw in an odd value comparison, according to the Montgomery Advertiser:

"Don't question the guy we got leading the program," Dye said. "I wouldn't swap him for 10 (Alabama coach Nick) Sabans.

"Saban is the best coach in the country — I'll grant him that. But he ain't a better man than Gene Chizik."

Now, 10 Sabans would be a bit overbearing around the office. And bless the poor beat writers who would have to cover 10 Sabans.

What would be the fair market Chizik-to-Saban value? 12 Sabans? 14? 16.5?

Given Chizik's 9-8 post-Cam Newton record, we wonder if Auburn fans would be fine receiving the 10 Sabans package in a deal.
