With an 82-72 win over Stanford on Thursday night, Dayton reached the Elite Eight for the first time in 30 years. The Flyers, a No. 11 seed, have knocked off higher-seeded teams in three straight games. Before beating the Cardinal, the Flyers upset in-state rival Ohio State (a No. 6 seed) and then outlasted No. 3 seed Syracuse.

It’s an improbable run that no one expected, and the Dayton students are celebrating accordingly -- by flooding the streets.

There are students as far as the eye can see, but as long as no one gets hurt or nothing gets destroyed, it looks like it's all in good fun.

Riot police moved in to keep things in order and clear the streets.

Dayton will square off against Florida on Saturday. If the Flyers win that one to reach the Final Four, things might get even crazier.
