John Calipari calls out Duke players for flopping

Love him or hate him Kentucky coach John Calipari often says what's on his mind.

Calipari said he was mostly happy with the Wildcats' performance in the first half of tonight's game against Duke even though the Wildcats trailed 33-31 at the break and had been called for charging multiple times.

Calipari apparently didn't agree with those calls.

"They're flopping all over the place," Calipari told ESPN's Andy Katz at halftime about the Blue Devils. "In the NBA, they'd all be suspended. So we got to get to where we're getting the ball by guys and knowing that they're going to try to take charges. There is about five turnovers right there."

No. 9 Duke created a little separation in the second half and beat the third-ranked Wildcats 75-68. Blue Devils coach Mike Krzyzewski was asked about Calipari's halftime comments after the game.

"He can say whatever he wants," Krzyzewski said. "There's a difference between a flop and a charge."

Calipari was asked about his halftime comments after the game.

"It was a joke," he said. "You guys at Duke can take a joke right?"

Sure would be fun to see these storied programs and these two coaches get together again in March.
