Mad Dash: Gronk judges Polish sausage on Top Chef

Rob Gronkowski is fast developing a reputation as the most interesting man in the NFL. From an offseason full of beer bongs and Zubaz pants to a shirtless ESPN the Magazine cover shoot with kittens, the Patriots tight end never ceases to amaze us with his off-the-field antics. Gronk's history of unpredictable behavior continued Wednesday night, when the 25-year-old made a guest appearance on Bravo's Top Chef.

Alongside host Padma Lakshmi, Gronkowski judged the episode's "Quickfire Challenge," which tested contestants on the show to create the best Polish sausage dish. Though we can't confirm the sophistication of Gronk's palate, his appearance on the foodie program can be explained by this season's location of Boston and can also be counted as a success. In much more adorable news, a 5-year-old boy from Ohio is trying to save the UAB football team one dollar at a time - literally. Bennett Williams, who is a self-proclaimed Buckeyes fan, sent a handwritten letter along with his allowance to the Alabama school, which recently cancelled the football program. "Dear UAB, I love Ohio State, but I think you should have football too. Here's one dollar to help." If only we could figure out a way to fund athletic programs on cuteness ...

From cute to insanely improbable, check out the performance of Ryan Sturdivan during Woodland High School's win over Kelso on the hardwood. Sturdivan knocked down a halfcourt buzzer-beater at the half to cut his team's deficit to one. No big deal, right? Happens all the time. But the high-schooler one-upped himself at the end of regulation, hitting another halfcourt jumper at the buzzer to win 49-47. It's going to be a long time before another hoopster totals 94 feet in buzzer-beaters in a single game.
