Dolphins ready to hire coordinators

It won't be clear for a while if new Miami Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin, the former offensive coordinator of the Green Bay Packers, can get quarterback Matt Flynn to head down to sunny Florida from Wisconsin. What is clear, though, is that Philbin is ready to make a move and hire some coaches.

The Miami Herald reports that the team is about to sign on former NFL head coach Mike Sherman and Cincinnati Bengals defensive backs coach Kevin Coyle to be the Dolphins' offensive and defensive coordinators, respectively.

The 57-year-old Sherman coached the Packers from 2000-2005 and led them to five straight winning seasons before having a losing season in 2005 and getting canned. The team also won three division titles in his time leading the team.
