Blake Griffin in concussion protocol, will miss Detroit Pistons' game vs. Boston Celtics

Blake Griffin will miss his second game of the season on Friday, when the Detroit Pistons host the Boston Celtics at Little Caesars Arena.

Griffin is still going through the NBA's concussion protocol after taking an elbow to the mouth during the second quarter of Tuesday's game against the Golden State Warriors. Griffin didn't return to the game for the second half.

It's unclear if Griffin will return for Sunday's game against the Celtics.

"We'll see how he reacts to different tests, he's going through the league tests and everything right now," Dwane Casey said on Thursday. "He said he felt well, but he still has to go through the protocols, so we'll see exactly where he is."

Killian Hayes is questionable for Friday's game after suffering a right ankle sprain on Tuesday, and Jahlil Okafor is probable nearly a week after suffering a right ankle sprain against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
