Bills-Bengals stats will not be counted after no-contest

Just a small noteworthy item worth pointing out: Statistics from the no-contest between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals in Week 17 won’t be counted.

For the Bengals, that means Joe Burrow’s touchdown pass to Tyler Boyd isn’t official.

It also means entering Week 18, Burrow still remains 12 pass attempts short of qualifying to become the NFL’s all-time career completion percentage record holder.

Interestingly, the Bengals playing one less game than the majority of the league also impacts things like Burrow’s MVP candidacy and potentially stats-based incentives for individual players within their contracts, so we’ll have to see how the team and/or league handles the latter.

But officially, Bills-Bengals never happened, so the stats that happened there aren’t recorded in the totals.
