Bill Simmons roasted after Phoenix Suns' Frank Vogel hire: 'It's gonna be Kevin Young'
Sports personality Bill Simmons was roasted on social media Friday in the aftermath of the news that Frank Vogel would be the next coach of the Phoenix Suns.
Why?
Because Simmons had been adamant for quite some time that Phoenix was going to hire assistant coach Kevin Young to the position, even going so far as to say: “From the producers of I told you Bronny (James) was going to USC six weeks ago, it’s gonna be Kevin Young" on a recent podcast.

Simmons took to Twitter after the news of Vogel's hire broke, to "take the L," although he continued to be adamant that Young was going to be the coach "for a couple weeks."
"I’m taking the L. Was Kevin Young for a couple weeks, then Ishbia decided he wanted someone splashier and more experienced and shifted gears. What’s interesting is Booker was pushing hard for KY. But Vogel is an excellent coach. Can’t wait to find out what happened," he tweeted.

The Big Lead's Ryan Phillips wrote of Simmons' reporting on the Suns hire: "So, you see, guys, he was actually right … until he was wrong. Here's the problem: Simmons didn't just say it might happen, that the Suns were considering Kevin Young or that he was the frontrunner. He said, unequivocally, that Young would be the team's next head coach."
