Bijan Robinson is a top-10 pick in Mel Kiper, Todd McShay’s latest NFL mock draft

The 2023 NFL Draft is a little over a week away and we still don’t quite know where Texas running back Bijan Robinson will land in the first round.

Nearly every NFL draft analysts agrees that Robinson is a rare talent worthy of being selected in the first round, but the debate surrounding the value of selecting a running back that high still arises.

Recent mock drafts have seen Robinson get taken off of the board towards the end of the first round, and as high as a top-10 pick. The sweet spot still seems to be the middle of the first round for the former Longhorn, but as we inch closer to the draft it appears he could go higher than expected.

ESPN’s Todd McShay and Mel Kiper combined for a three-round mock draft on Tuesday. Kiper projected the odd numbered picks while McShay had the evens.

McShay projected Robinson to the Philadelphia Eagles with the No. 10 overall pick.

Look, I know he might not go this high, and we can spend hours talking about running back value in Round 1. But Robinson is my No. 2 overall prospect and makes sense in this Eagles offense. He is a complete back who could dominate alongside newly extended quarterback Jalen Hurts in the backfield. – Todd McShay

The Detroit Lions, Los Angeles Chargers and Dallas Cowboys have also been common destinations for Robinson in recent mock drafts. The first round officially kicks off on Thursday, April 27 at 7 p.m. CT.
