Video Transcript

- I do want to ask you guys this question. Do you ever bet on the All-Star game? Because I'll be honest, I love the NBA. I think it's awesome. I thought the Elam Ending was great last year.

I pay very little attention to the All-Star game because I'm a curmudgeon in defense. Jared, do you ever bet the All-Star game?

JARED QUAY: Just to make it more interesting, man. It's not a fun game to watch unless you got a little bit of money on MVP like plus odds and just pick that red of like fourth best player, that Kawhi Leonard or Paul George or Khris Middleton when he should have won it because he scored 20 points. And he wasn't even a starter. No, but I like to bet the MVP, just to make it funnier, just to have a little more vested interest.

- Preston, I assume that you have in-depth numbers already available on team LeBron versus team Durant. You already have the model, right?

PRESTON JOHNSON: It's hard to model something like that. You can give generalities. But you don't really know-- it's hard to have concrete so and so is going to play x amount of minutes, who's going to be on the floor with who, what you can do when you have general rotation numbers from teams. I will say this.

Elam Ending, I thought, was great, was fantastic. There was also a lot of movement on the total because I think people anticipated that it would be high scoring early. And then it would slow down, which it did.

And it made handicapping the game-- it took it to another level. So I've bet on the All-Star games before. If you see an edge, generally you try to bet it. And long term, you know it's going to pay off.

It's not an automatic thing either. But you'll see move sometimes, an All-Star team that's plus five ends up closing plus two. You've seen moves like that before. And so there's guys out there that influence the market that are betting into it and impact and generally know what they're doing. So you'll definitely see sharp guys that attack it.
