Betting: Who is best pick in South Region?
Frank Schwab gives his betting advice for the NCAA Tournament’s South Region, including who will make the Final Four, top Cinderella pick and most likely 1st Round upset.

FRANK SCHWAB: This is Frank Schwab with Yahoo Sports. And I'm here to give you my betting preview for the South Region of the NCAA tournament. We start with the favorite out there to win the region. That's Alabama, the top seed, at plus 190. Arizona, the two seed, plus 450. Then we go to Baylor. They're plus 550 to make the Final Four. And Creighton at plus 800 is the fourth favorite in that region.
I'm going to go with Alabama out of this region. A little chalky, I know. But how could you deny them after what we saw at the SEC tournament? They are plus 190 to win the region. They're plus 800 to win the national title. And that's going to be my national title pick. I just think the Crimson Tide really playing well right now. Brandon Miller, look, we all know the awkward situation going on with him.
But he is going to be the top player drafted in the NBA draft out of this college class. If Alabama could shoot to three, they can play defense, they come out of a very strong SEC conference. I really like the Crimson Tide to win it all this season. For a Cinderella pick out of the region, if it's not Alabama, I'm going to go with Creighton at plus 800. They're a preseason darling.
Everybody loved them after the way they played last March Madness. Didn't really come together for Creighton this season. But they still have the talent. The still have a very good big man in Ryan Kalkbrenner. I think Creighton can make a run in this tournament, plus 800 odds looked pretty good for a team everybody expected to have a big season.
Now, let's look for an upset pick out of the first round. And I'm going to go with the 12-5 game as most upsets come from. I really do like Charleston they're 5 and 1/2 point underdog against San Diego State. San Diego State is a good team too coming out of the Mountain West. But Charleston, they spent time in the top 25 this year. Really had a solid overall season. They're a very dangerous 12 seed. And I think they're going to get the straight up upset against the Aztecs.
