Who was the best boys high school athlete in OKC area last week? Your votes decide

The Oklahoman's boys spring athletes of the week poll for April 22-29 presented by Landmark Fine Homes is now live at oklahoman.com.

Voting is open until noon Sunday.

The winner of last week’s poll was TJ Shanahan of Bishop McGuinness tennis.

Here are this week’s nominees in baseball, golf, soccer, tennis and track.

Boys athletes of the week

Preston Albee, Jr., Choctaw golf: Albee shot a 1-under 70 at the P.C. North Boys Golf Tournament. The OU commit placed third after a scorecard playoff.

Spencer Bass, Jr., Bishop McGuinness baseball: Bass sparked a comeback on the mound and at the plate for the Irish in a Class 4A regional tournament win over Cache. He hit a walk-off sacrifice fly to send Bishop McGuinness to the regional tournament championship. For the week, Bass batted .429 with three RBI and three stolen bases.

Eli Berry, Sr., Deer Creek soccer: Berry helped Deer Creek end the regular season with a 4-2 victory over Edmond Memorial. The Tulsa signee has compiled 50 career goals and 37 assists.

Owen Fellrath, Jr., Heritage Hall tennis: He faced a stiff field but went on to place second in No. 1 singles at Tulsa Union’s tournament last week.

Alec Shumard, Fr., Newcastle track: He won the 800-meter race in 2 minutes, 2.07 seconds at Weatherford’s meet last week.
