Here are The Arizona Republic's high school boys basketball rankings through Dec. 4, 2023. The Super 10 comprises the best teams, regardless of conference.

Super 10

1. Perry Pumas, 5-2

Their two losses came in Hoophall West against the nation's Top 25 out-of-state teams, including the defending California Open champion Harvard-Westlake in close contests.

2. Millennium Tigers, 7-1

Showed great resiliency, led by guard Sabien Cain, to rally over Sunnyslope in overtime in Hoophall West.

3. Sunnyslope Vikings, 2-2

Learned a lot about themselves and will come out better after going 0-2 in Hoophall West, playing closely contested games against high-quality opponents, including California's St. John Bosco.

4. Desert Mountain Wolves, 2-1

They get a mulligan falling to Pinnacle 98-97 on a last-second shot. This was wedged between two OT Hoophall West wins over Notre Dame Prep and California's Sierra Canyon.

5. Notre Dame Prep Saints, 3-1

Anthony Batson Jr. has only gotten better and that's a scary thing to the rest of the state that has to face this 5A team.

6. Basha Bears, 5-1

Lost to a tough Campbell Hall team in a close game but bounced back with a win over a good Coronado team out of Nevada in Hoophall West.

7. St. Mary's Knights, 0-2

Look deeper into this record and you'll find they lost close games to Notre Dame Prep and to an 8-0 JSerra Catholic team out of California.

8. Sandra Day O'Connor Eagles, 6-0

This might be the best team in school history. Has size, shooters and speed. Can play with anybody.

9. Brophy Prep Broncos, 2-0

Led by senior guard Braeden Speed, they'll face their first major test tonight at home against O'Connor.

10. Valley Christian Trojans, 3-0

Only 3A school in this, but they can play with the best of the best in Arizona. Too bad they won't be able to get into the Open this year due to it being restricted to 6A, 5A and 4A teams.
