Berks high school sports honor roll: October 2, 2023

Oct. 1—Boys cross country

Exeter senior Slater von Stetten finished 16th in 15:57.80 in the Boys High School Brown Division at Lehigh University's Paul Short Run.

Girls cross country

Exeter senior Gabrielle Keith finished fifth in 18:26.90 in the Girls High Brown Division at Lehigh University's Paul Short Run.

Field hockey

Twin Valley senior Laura Sosko had three goals in a 6-2 win over Gov. Mifflin, a goal and two assists in a 10-1 victory over Reading High and one goal in a 3-0 win over Exeter.

Football

Wilson senior Tommy Hunsicker threw for two touchdowns and ran for one in the Bulldogs' 21-14 victory over Gov. Mifflin. Hunsicker completed 6-of-11 passes for 133 and TD passes of 46 yards and 35 yards. He also had 90 rushing yards, including a 35-yard touchdown run, on 13 carries.

Golf

Daniel Boone sophomore Chase Yenser shot a 3-over 108 over 27 holes to win the BCIAA boys individual golf tournament at Blackwood GC.

Boys soccer

Wyomissing junior Drew Latourelle had two goals and four assists in the Spartans' 10-2 win over Antietam before scoring two goals in a 4-0 victory over Schuylkill Valley.

Girls soccer

Schuylkill Valley junior Addie Becht scored five goals in the Panthers' 7-0 win over Hamburg before scoring three goals in a 9-0 victory over Muhlenberg.

Girls tennis

Conrad Weiser senior Emma Perkins won at No. 1 singles in victories over Gov. Mifflin and Wilson to help the Scouts clinch the Berks I title, then advanced to the crossover semifinals at the BCIAA singles and doubles flight tournament with a pair of wins.

Girls volleyball

Twin Valley junior Mikayla Riehl had 17 kills, 12 digs and five blocks in a 3-1 victory over Gov. Mifflin.

Boys water polo

Muhlenberg senior Brady Robidas scored 11 goals and had one assist in the Muhls' 17-15 win over Cumberland Valley. Robidas also scored six goals and had one assist in Muhlenberg's 13-8 win over Exeter. In addition, he had seven goals and three assists in two games at the Cumberland Valley Tournament.

Girls water polo

Muhlenberg junior Kenna Follweiler had three goals in a 15-7 win over Exeter, and four goals and an assist in a 12-8 win over Cumberland Valley. At the Cumberland Valley Tournament, she had a goal and an assist in a loss to Wissahickon and five goals and an assist in a 10-5 win over Springfield.
