—Wernersville Library Book Sale, 100 N. Reber St. Oct. 11 and 12, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Oct. 13, noon to 6 p.m., Oct. 14, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Oct. 14:

—St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 1136 Geigertown Road, Union Township, will celebrate its 250th anniversary with a free public festival starting with a 5K run and 1-mile fun walk at 9 a.m., with the festival running from 2-8 p.m. Live music in the tented area will be provided by Threefold Blessing at 2; Think of 3 at 4; and Ironwood Drive at 6 p.m. There will be fireworks at 8 p.m. A variety of food will be available along with various activities. A tour of the historic sanctuary and cemetery will be offered.

—Craft and vendor bazaar, West Lawn United Methodist Church Raffauf Community Center, 101 Woodside Ave., West Lawn, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Breakfast, lunch, baked goods. Pre-register for a table by calling Sharon Rutherford at 610-468-9427. All proceeds benefit the ministries and missions of West Lawn UMC.

—Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue open house, Golden Gateway facility, 60 Vera Cruz Road, East Cocalico Township, 10 a.m.-noon. Meet and greet the golden retrievers and dogs that are available for adoption. Staff is on hand to answer all questions, and food is available for purchase. No admission charge. No photos. —Tulpehocken Settlement 300th Anniversary Church Tour, 1 to 5 p.m. The 14 churches started from 1727 to 1792. Each will offer tours of their buildings and adjoining cemeteries. This is a repeat of tours in May. The tours are free but donations will be gladly accepted. The Tulpehocken Settlement Historical Society in Womelsdorf and Andulhea Historical Society in Rehrersburg will be open during the tour. Oct. 16:

—Berks Photographic Society meeting, GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, 201 Washington St., Reading, Suite 326. Simon d'Entremont will present "Taking your Bird and Wildlife Photography to the Next Level" via Zoom from Canada in a hybrid session. He will go over some of his top tips about wildlife photography, including gear, settings, field techniques and strategies for pretty pictures. He will also cover his post processing. This will be a paid event for non-members with a $10 donation. —Deadline to order for the pig stomach fundraiser at Swamp Lutheran Church, 275 Swamp Church Road, West Cocalico Township, Lancaster County. Cost for a whole cooked pig stomach is $29. Order by calling 717-336-2849. Pick up on Oct. 21 from 1-4 p.m.

—Flea market and bake sale, Faith Lutheran Church, 210 N. 25th St., Mount Penn, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Clothing and household items. Bag sale starts at 11 a.m.

—Fall Family Fun Day, Dreibelbis Historic Farm, 356 Hard Hill Road, Richmond Township, 2-6 p.m. Child-friendly hay ries, bonfire, refreshments, children's games, pumpkin decoration. Free parking, $5 admission covers all activities. Children under 3 are free. Rain will cancel.

—Interpretive Sunday, Conrad Weiser Homestead, 28 Weiser Lane, Heidelberg Township, noon-4 p.m., fall park walk at 2 p.m. Historic guided tours hourly noon-3 p.m. Visitors will have the opportunity to talk with re-enactors about historical context, clothing and equipment from the mid 18th century in Berks County. —Fall lecture, Conrad Weiser Homestead, 22 Weiser Lane, Heidelberg Township, 2 p.m. Entitled "From Philadelphia to Duquesne, the Forbes Campaign," the lecture, presented by Lynn Otto, will focus on the subject and story of Gen. John Forbes, Lt. Col. Henry Bouquet and the British and Provincial soldiers who hacked their way west in summer and the fall of 1758 to push the French garrison out of Fort Duquesne.
